     Title: Fritch Fire leaves homeowners wondering what’s next

The aftermath of the Fritch Fire that broke out the evening of Sunday May 11 has left a wake of destruction in the area. Homes, equipment, out buildings and vehicles were lost. Hundreds of them.

The aftermath of the Fritch Fire that broke out the evening of Sunday May 11 has left a wake of destruction in the area. Homes, equipment, out buildings and vehicles were lost. Hundreds of them.

According to Mark Craven president of the Lake Meredith Homeowner’s Association, 225 homes were completely destroyed in the fire, over 100 outbuildings were wiped out and more than 100 vehicles were totaled.

Also according to Craven, more than 60 percent of the homeowners did not have insurance or were underinsured.
