Flower thieves have hit the beautiful gardens in Veteran’s Memorial Park on 7th Street again, this time around they made off with flowers and other greenery from the main flower garden in the center of the park, in broad daylight.

Patty Smith the Vice President of the Petal Pushers Club, the non-profit organization who keeps the flower beds looking beautiful, weeded and full of flowers, often times using their own resources, said this is the second time in a year the flower beds were robbed of flowers.

“Last year $300 to $400 worth of flowers were taken from the main flower bed at 7th Street Park, and this year they were hit again,” Smith said in a phone interview. “Where the theft keeps occurring is the main flower bed in the center of the park.”
