Dalhart ISD officials are having to set aside money to pay back a reserve fund item to the tune of $2 million. According to the administration, the financial glitch appears to be due to past state reimbursement issues, and  where the funds were booked into the system.

Dalhart ISD officials are having to set aside money to pay back a reserve fund item to the tune of $2 million. According to the administration, the financial glitch appears to be due to past state reimbursement issues, and  where the funds were booked into the system.

The clerical error, discovered by Dalhart ISD Superintendent John Massy and an independent financial auditor he secured when he arrived, has left the fund in question with less money in it than was showing up on-paper.
