If you ask city sanitation employees how well Dalhart citizens use the recycling program, you will get mixed answers. Some do very well, some do not says long time sanitation employee David Gonzales.

He’s seen it all with over 40 years working in the sanitation department. Gonzales has been around longer than the program itself. He knows the sanitation department inside and out, front to back according to Public Works Director Dennis Rojas. And Gonzales has won awards for his efforts to move Dalhart’s recycling program forward.
