Dalhart’s local supermarket is one of the stores being acquired by Albertson’s LLC, but according to United Supermarket spokesperson Eddie Owens, customers will see very little changes at the local store.
“Our company will continue to operate our stores under our four brands, United Supermarket, Market Street, Amigos and United Express,”  Robert Taylor United’s CEO said. “We will continue to make decisions locally — it’s business as usual.”
Owens said the only thing that management at United sees changing is a great opportunity to expand its products at the store.
“It’s way too early to say what products and brands will be expanding with, but with this acquisition, we believe will give us the opportunity to offer more for our customers and team members,” Owens said.
The acquisition was announced earlier this month. Albertson’s currently operates more than 600 locations in 16 states.
