     Title: Safety tips for back to school

The 2013-2014 is begins Monday, August 26 and motorists need to lend caution and pay very close attention as they travel to and from schools and when driving in area school zones. Children will be walking, riding bicycles and young teen drivers will be driving themselves and siblings to school.

The 2013-2014 is begins Monday, August 26 and motorists need to lend caution and pay very close attention as they travel to and from schools and when driving in area school zones. Children will be walking, riding bicycles and young teen drivers will be driving themselves and siblings to school.
Local law enforcement officers will be present in all school zones to promote awareness of the presence of children and child safety in school zones. Elementary school crossing guards will be prepared to assist the new students with pedestrian safety rules and crossing the intersection safely. Parents and all adults should discuss pedestrian safety rules with children and periodically remind them of the dangers of not following those rules.
