The first school bell will ring in Dalhart, Monday Aug. 26 and for the most part, not much is changing around the district. One of the most notable differences this year is there are four new administrators leading two of the district’s campuses.
At the High School, Derek Hollingsworth took over as the new principal in July and Jeff Hutton, a Dalhart native, has assumed the vice principal role.
At the Jr. High School, Trevor Scott was named the new principal and Jance Morris took over as the new vice principal.
Those attending the Jr. High School will see a few new changes other than the new administrators. Scott announced recently that there is going to be a new direction to enter and exit the campus for vehicles including buses.
