     Title: Memorial Tournament exemplifies spirit of David Peeples

David Peeples knew everyone, and everyone knew David Peeples. People remember that every year when they play in the Peeples Memorial Tournament at the Dalhart Country Club.
This will be the 9th annual Peeples Memorial Tournament in Dalhart, and the man’s memory resonates in the festivities every year.

David Peeples knew everyone, and everyone knew David Peeples. People remember that every year when they play in the Peeples Memorial Tournament at the Dalhart Country Club.
This will be the 9th annual Peeples Memorial Tournament in Dalhart, and the man’s memory resonates in the festivities every year.
“David died of cancer and he was just everybody’s great friend,” Dalhart Country Club General Manager Cory Beckner said. “Just a good, good funny guy and he ended everything with ‘Okie Dokie’.”
When Peeples died of cancer, David’s lifelong best friend Bill Crawford knew they had to do something to honor his memory, as well as do something for the people who have been affected by the disease that took his life.
