     Title: Fire destroys abandoned warehouse

Thick smoke rolled down Scott Street Wednesday morning as emergency personnel battled a blaze that totally consumed a warehouse adjacent to the BNSF railroad. The warehouse, once owned by Kenneth Hogue and legally abandoned by Susan Clay, was a total loss.

Thick smoke rolled down Scott Street Wednesday morning as emergency personnel battled a blaze that totally consumed a warehouse adjacent to the BNSF railroad. The warehouse, once owned by Kenneth Hogue and legally abandoned by Susan Clay, was a total loss.
The Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department worked feverishly to extinguish the fire as it licked trees located next to the building. Dalhart Police Department officers and Dallam County Sheriffs Deputies maintain a wide parameter of the area and controlled traffic and site seekers.
