Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department Chief, Curtis Brown and law enforcement officers answered a call Saturday morning at approximately 9:00 a.m. Three BNSF tank cars were parked on the overpass over Denrock Avenue and a substance was leaking onto the road.
The south bound lane was closed for several hours while clean-up took place and dirt was used to absorb the liquid that had leaked from the tanker car. A local railroader stated that the liquid that was seeping out onto the road was a form of cow feed that is used by one of the local feed yards.
