Shortly after noon on Monday, March 25, The Holiday Inn Express received a face lift. The Dalhart Police Department assisted with traffic while the huge green sign was removed and a La Quinta sign replaced the Holiday Inn Express brand. The Dalhart Holiday Inn Express did not meet corporate requirements to carry the Holiday Inn Express franchise.

The Dalhart Holiday Inn Express did not meet corporate requirements to carry the Holiday Inn Express franchise.
Dalhart can not have any buildings over two stories due to additional equipment needed by the Dalhart Fire Department, explained Kristine Olsen, Dalhart Chamber of Commerce President.
