The St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School celebrated their Catholic Schools week beginning Sunday, January 27 with a Sunday School Mass in both English and Spanish. The week long activities included a book fair and a raffle to win a book. The fun and festivities continued with a Holy Mass with Bishop Zurek, a luncheon, “Pastries with Parents” and parents and grandparents were welcomed to eat lunch with their students on Wednesday, January 30.
The students researched Catholic living icons and presented them at a school fair which was viewed during a dinner on Thursday, January 31. In addition to the dinner there was a family dance and the school hosted an open house.
Friday, February 1, was spirit day and the students dressed in school colors and focused on the Holy Spirit. The entire week promoted the school, the community and the positive influence the Catholic Schools have on their students, the parents and the community.
