Title: Santa Claus is coming to the Texan

By TAMMI KATE LEDFORD

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout I’m telling you why Santa Claus is arriving at the Texan on Monday, December 10 at 5:30 p.m. Come one, come all Santa will be at the Texan for photos with area children and to discuss behavior and items on everyone’s Christmas list.
Now, he won’t have his reindeer with him because they are at the North Pole training the young bucks that are coming along how to fly, but Santa Claus will arrive just as magical as always. Santa asked the Texan to relay a message to the children of Dalhart, Hartley, Texline and Channing, “Ho Ho Ho, tell all my little ones that can’t make it on Monday they can still send their letters to me at my magical mail box in front of the Texan’s office.”   Mailman Elf Clint will make sure all of the letters received in Dalhart are forwarded directly to Santa in a timely fashion.

“Boys and girls remember to be on your best behavior from now until Christmas, no stomping our feet, no fighting with our siblings, keep your rooms clean and remember to do your homework and eat all your vegetables, I will be watching!” Santa exclaimed.
Santa Claus is also scheduled to make several other appearances in Dalhart for various groups and organizations, but photos taken at the Texan office will appear in the newspaper between now and our final issue of the year on Friday, December 21, 2012.
Please continue to forward your letters to Santa via the Christmas mailbox located in front of the Dalhart Texan office. Also, have your children answer the “What would Santa do?” questions that are published weekly in the paper and submit them to have a chance to win a gift certificate valued at  $50 from City Gifts and Radio Shack.
