     Title: Beginning Guitar class slated for July

    Are you ready to move on from air guitar to the real thing? If so, join Denise Baumert’s Beginning Guitar class slated for Wednesdays in July from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Offered through Community Connect, the class will introduce students ages 8 through adult, to strums, finger and flat picking, and basic chords. The musical fun begins July 1 with an extended class, 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., so that students can learn to tune their instruments. Registration is open online at www.dalhartcommunityeducation.org or at DISD Central office, 701 E. 10th Street in Dalhart.

    Mrs. Baumert is a homemaker, as well as guitar and piano teacher. She and her husband, Peter, along with their children Jonathan, Lea, Josef and Caleb have called Dalhart home for the past 14 years. In addition to playing the piano and guitar, Denise is learning to play the harp and loves to sing.
