Title: Defense leads Wolves to opening win against Fritch

The Golden Wolves held Fritch to 91 yards of total offense while the offense tried to work out a few opening game jitters. The Wolves ran away with a 36-0 shutout victory over Fritch Friday night.

The Golden Wolves held Fritch to 91 yards of total offense while the offense tried to work out a few opening game jitters. The Wolves ran away with a 36-0 shutout victory over Fritch Friday night.
Fritch took advantage of Dalhart’s kickoff return team on several occasions, and Fritch started the game with a 33 yard kickoff return to Dalhart’s 47. The Wolf defense held and forced a Fritch punt, and Dalhart took over at their own 20 yard line.
Two motion penalties, a fumbled snap and a delay of game penalty had the Wolves facing a third and 29 inside the one yard line.
