     Title: Dalhart PD swears in new officers

Recently Dalhart Police Department (DPD) accepted the resignation of two officers which stepped up the man hunt for new personnel for the already short patrol staff.

Recently Dalhart Police Department (DPD) accepted the resignation of two officers which stepped up the man hunt for new personnel for the already short patrol staff.
Gary Sinclair, Chief of Police was sworn in almost 12 months ago and has made great strides in updating the force, and equipment, but has had some difficulty in attracting new and additional officers.
On Tuesday, August 28 at 10:00 a. m. at City Hall DPD added two new officers to their staff. Dallas Scott Sizemore and Michael Justin Parker are recent graduates of Panhandle Regional Law Enforcement Academy.
Sizemore is the son of Kim and Gary Sizemore and brother to 15 year old sister Laci. “I’ve wanted to be a police officer for as long as I can remember,” stated Sizemore. The Amarillo native is a graduate of Tascosa Richard Melbourne Academy. After is swearing in ceremony he qualified on the range Tuesday afternoon and was fitted for uniforms and placed into service.
