Dalhart Consumers will be returning a total of $2,950,000 in patronage refunds, of which $590,000 will be in cash.  The dividend paid is based on the amount of business that each member did with the Cooperative.  This dividend equates to 17 cents per bushel on grain, eight cents per gallon on fuel, and ten dollars per ton on fertilizer back to each member according to General Manager, Jim Turner.  “With the cash portion of this year dividend, plus the equity retirement, Dalhart Consumers put nearly $750,000 back into the community” Turner stated.  “This is the Coop version of an “economic stimulus package”.  We could not have posted such a fine year with out the support of our members,” Turner says.  “We will continue to work for the member-owners of this cooperative in building a member-owned system that has the size and scale needed to compete in this marketplace.”

“Our employees work very hard to provide the level of service and quality products that our member patrons need and want, and they were an important part of our tremendous year Turner added.”

Dalhart Consumers annual business meeting is set for Thursday, June 19, at the Rita Blanca Coliseum.  At that time, patronage checks will be handed out to the members and reports on the fiscal year will be made.  Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Jasmine Bohlender and Molly Moore both of Dalhart.
