Dallam County Justice of the Peace Challenger Alicia Gomez WIlliams

By Robin Scott

As a long time member of the Dallam County community, Alicia “Alice” Gomez Williams believes she is ready for the responsibility of the office of Dallam County Justice of the Peace.  Williams currently works for the office of Hartley County Justice of the Peace and has a strong desire to bring her experiences into Dallam County.

Williams stated, “It gives me great honor to have the opportunity to run in this election for Dallam County Justice of the Peace.”  Williams has raised three children in Dalhart, and has several grandchildren who are students within DISD.  One of her fond memories and rewarding experiences was the chance to host a Foreign Exchange Student from South Korea last year.

Assisting with community functions and organizations has also been a great experience for Williams.  She has owned and operated several businesses locally and has worked for several local businesses as well.  She noted, “I have chosen to run in this election to serve the people of Dallam County with great respect, honor, to ensure that their rights are protected and to hear their voice.”

Williams is a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dalhart.  She urges voters, “Your vote can make the difference.”  She added, “I have the experience to communicate with different ethnic groups.”  Meeting the needs of the residents of Dallam County is a strong goal for Williams and a motivation for her to choose to run in the March 2nd Primary.
