Stormy Wing wins Horizon Series Springtown

    Fort Worth, Texas (November 23, 2009)  On a sunny, Sunday afternoon, Springtown, Texas was the place to be as over 1,500 people turned out for the Munden Invitational to witness outstanding bull riding as well as a surprising aerobatic display  by stunt airman Joe Croswell.  

    Stormy Wing was the talk of afternoon after being the only rider to cover two bulls earning a combined score of 171.5. Stormy of Dalhart, drew two of Randy Schumtzs’ bulls- Tahanta’s Wolf, in the long go (83) and Go Get a Gun (88.5) in the short.

    Some of the biggest names in the CBR turned out for the event such as: Cooper Kanngiesser,  Clint Craig and Ardie Maier.  Ardie still holds the lead in the current 2010 standings with over 3000 points. Big stock names were also on hand with some great bulls. Thanks to contractors -Jerome Scallions, Randy Schumtz, JW Hart, Phillip Elkins, Terry Williams, Larry Ryken, Scott Accomazzo.

    Results: Stormy Wing 171.5; Neil Holmes 88; Craig Jackson 87.5; Ladden Ledbetter 87.5; Frank Archuleta 87; Ardie Maier 86.5; Bonner Bolton 86 and Clayton Foltyn 85.
