Dalhart residences and businesses were impacted by outages after a contractor digging in the area of Seventh Street and Cherry reportedly struck a utility line on Wednesday afternoon. The Dalhart Fire Department was called to assess the situation as crews from Atmos Energy were called out to make repairs. Utilities were restored by late Wednesday evening.
