School report cards released without STAAR data, rating

The Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) are available for each of the school district across the state for  the 2019-2020 school year. The reports are released by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and rank districts  with an “A” through “F” letter grade based on a myriad of criteria, including student testing performance.

Last year, Texas schools were closed to on-campus learning for the last quarter of the school year due to COVID- 19. It is during that time the annual STAAR tests are administered to students. However, those tests were waived for the 2019-2020 school year. Because the tests were not administered, districts were not rated for the year,  and most of the data in the 2019-2020 report is the same as the prior year.
