The Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District held their annual health fair Friday morning. This year’s event was held in a drive-thru style at Legacy Assisted Living due to social distancing protocols in response to COVID-19. Approximately 255 area residents received a bag with information and goodies from area businesses and agencies, as well as vouchers for free laboratory work at the hospital. Vouchers were also given to all staff at the Dalhart Independent School District, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School and Dalhart Christian Academy. Hospital district marketing director Jacy Crim said the event ran smoothly and the participants in this year’s event enjoyed the fact that they did not have to wait in line and will have two weeks to have their labs drawn by the hospital district staff.
