The Dalhart Rotary Club is on a mission to raise $150,000 for a grant match that will provide parks improvement, including a splash pad, to the Rita Blanca Lake area.

The Dalhart City Council moved forward with the grant application process in September. The grant, through the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife, totals $300,000. That total would include a match of $150,000 with a $150,000 grant award. In October, the council also approved up to $150,000 in Economic Development Council funds. The city officially submitted the grant application last week.
