NewsMinor injuries in Highway 87 wreck Tuesday
By Nixie Sanderson Only minor injuries were reported following a collision on Highway 87 just south of Dalhart Tuesday afternoon. According to Hartley County Chief Deputy Chanze Fowler, the driver of a red Durango failed to slow down as a semi-trailer made a right-hand turn into the Mas Trailer’s parking lot from the right lane of the highway. Fowler said the Durango “never hit his brakes” and struck the back of the trailer, which reportedly had the turn light activated. The driver of the Durango was reportedly treated and released at the scene.
