Theives plague counties as warmer weather increases activity

Broken locks, damaged doors and missing items have become a common occurrence for Dalhart resident J.L. Bliss. Sunday morning, he found his property had been struck once again. 

Bliss lives just outside the city limits on East 16th Street in Hartley County. He said the thefts began after a former tenant moved out of the trailer house on the property. Since then, he said the barn and house have been broken into on four different occasions.
