One person has died and four were injured in a collision last week near Texline.

Robert Crout, age 69, of Mustang, Okla., was pronounced dead at the scene Wednesday morning following the three-vehicle incident approximately six miles south of Texline.

According to information released by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Jason Booth, age 44, and Melissa Booth, age 41, both of Piedmont, Okla., were stopped in northbound on Highway 87 due in a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse.

Crout was also in the northbound lane in a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe with Kathy Crout, age 66, also of Mustang, Okla. Construction along the highway caused the road to be limited to one lane and both vehicles were reportedly stopped behind other traffic.
