Two people were injured following an explosion July 6 in Dallam County. While the address has not been released, first responders were called to an explosion at a property approximately 12 miles out on FM 1727 at 10:54 p.m. July 6.

“It was a natural gas explosion,” Dalhart fire chief Curtis Brown said. “The home was filled with natural gas. There were some people in there getting a piece off of a clothes drier. A lighter got flicked, and that caused the explosion.”
