On the hunt for Easter eggs

Students in the pre-school program at Central United Methodist Church participated in an Easter egg hunt hosted by the Dallam-Hartley County Library on the Dallam County Courthouse lawn Wednesday morning. A total of 550 eggs were distributed across the lawn for the children to collect. Two more Easter egg hunts are scheduled for this weekend. The Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce and 69th Judicial District CSCD will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 20. Activities are from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. The Easter Bunny will be present. Children will be divided into three age groups for the hunt, with the egg hunt for children up to three years of age starting at 2 p.m. at the Watermelon Park. The egg hunts for older children will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Rita Blanca Park. There will be $1 raffle tickets for a chance to win a bicycle, and Treasure Island Snow Cone will be on site. The XIT Rangers, FM 281, will host their annual Easter Egg hunt on Sunday, April 21 at 2 p.m. For more pictures, see page three of this edition.
