Farm bill update at cotton conference

A new farm was passed in Washington at the end of 2018, and Dr. Joe Outlaw was present at the Northwest Texas Panhandle Cotton Conference in Dalhart Wednesday, January 23 to present the highlights of the bill.

“The 2014 farm bill was okay - not great, not terrible. The new one is going to be just like it with a few tweaks,” Outlaw said. “They spent a lot of time worrying about the food programs, and I’m sure you’re very familiar about all that discussions. At the end of the day, they got it done.” This is the sixth farm bill Outlaw has worked on.
