Softball aims to Strike Out Cancer

The softball teams took the competition seriously. They still had fun, too, during the day-long Strike Out Cancer tournament at McLeod Park on Saturday.

Twelve teams from across the region converged on the fields during the 14th annual event, playing games which lasted 50 minutes, winning prizes and getting quite a workout. The fundraiser included raffles for a wide variety of donated prizes, such as a recliner from Furniture Fashions, a rooster fountain from The Pear Tree, a John Deere Gator Power Wheel, gift certificates, and plants.
