Frank Phillips College (FPC) held a special graduation ceremony on Saturday May 5 for eight students who received their GEDs this year at the Louise and Gene Rahll Education Center, their new facility in Dalhart. This was the first official function to be held in the new building.

The ceremony was held in the Multi-Purpose room on the south end of the facility. It began with the graduates walking in and taking their seats at the front of the room. Ilene Walton, who is the dean of the Frank Phillips campus in Dalhart, welcomed everyone to the ceremony and recognized several special guests, including Louise Rahll. It was Louise and Gene Rahll who donated the $4 million needed to construct the facility. She also recognized those in the room who had graduated the previous night with their associates’ degrees from FPC at a graduation ceremony on the main campus in Borger.
