Five members of the Dalhart High Skills USA team travelled to Corpus Christi to compete at the state competition last weekend. The team brought home a blue ribbon and red ribbon from the event.

This was the first time in the history of Dalhart High’s automotive program that students from that program competed at the state level in Skills USA Texas. The five students qualified for state based on their performance at the district contest in Levelland back in February. Seniors Roberto Robles and Xavien Albrecht won a first-place blue ribbon on their Engine Project, and also scored 98 on their notebook. Robles and Albrecht were partners on a project in which they rebuilt a Chevrolet Engine.
