The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized nearly $400,000 worth of marijuana and marijuana-related items on Sunday Feb. 25 after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Dallam County.

At about 3:12 pm, DPS Corporal Matt Howe stopped a 2004 Ford F-350 that was traveling southeast on US Highway 87 near Dalhart for speeding. Corporal Howe then discovered multiple vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana in the tool boxes in the truck bed. Also discovered were packages of THC Shatter, which is a wax-like substance that is made up of THC, the main ingredient in marijuana. It is actually much more potent than marijuana.
