Dalhart High School’s Sociology students are taking the dual-credit class through Amarillo College, and one of their assignments is a Service Learning Project. Seventeen students chose to volunteer at Good Samaritan and one student chose to volunteer at the Care Net Pregnancy Center once a week.

The students have traveled by bus across town to their respective locations for the past couple of months during the class, which is during fourth period at the high school. While volunteering, the students took out trash, emptied the collection bins, sorted donated clothes, organized the food pantry, raised money, and prepared Thanksgiving baskets.
