The first of four planned “Listening Tours” hosted by the Dalhart ISD Board of Trustees was held Wednesday Oct. 25 in the afternoon at Dalhart Junior High School. The “Listening Tour” is a series of special meetings for school board members to get input from parents and residents. Five school board members were present. They were Colette Moorhouse, who is president of the board, Joni Atha, the board’s secretary, Robert Ledbetter, Tammy Schneiderjan, and Joyce Spear. Also present was Superintendent John Massey.

There were 14 residents present, some parents and citizens, but mostly parents of children in the schools. Travis Taylor and his wife have three children, one in the elementary, junior high and high school. He spoke briefly about the schools and their children.
