Cattleman’s Livestock Commission Company, which holds the weekly Dalhart Livestock Auction, was broken into late Wednesday/early Thursday of last week. The offices were ransacked, and approximately $78,000 in cash and goods were taken.

The company is offering a reward of $10,000 to anyone who gives information to the police department or sheriff’s office that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The company is also willing to raise that reward to $11,000 if the information is given directly to Curtis Lockhart, the owner of Cattleman’s, but only if the person giving the information has indisputable evidence of the robbery.
