Dalhart groups join efforts to help hurricane victims

As the cleanup and recovery from Hurricane Harvey begins, thousands of state and federal officials and workers are coordinating efforts along with various non-governmental agencies to help those who have been affected by the hurricane and subsequent flooding.

A press release from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) stated that more than 12,400 employees from 17 different federal departments and agencies are currently working in support of the response to the damages from Hurricane Harvey. As of Wednesday morning, over 63,000 individuals and households had been approved for FEMA assistance.
