Emergency landing south of airport

THE DALHART TEXAN

A pilot executed an emergency landing in a field approximately five miles south of the Dalhart Municipal
Airport Tuesday afternoon.

According to information from the Hartley County Sheriff’s Office, the plane’s engine stalled and the pilot
was unable to restart the engine. He made a soft landing on the belly of the plane, sliding approximately 50 yards, according to reports.
