City council considers budget

THE DALHART TEXAN

A second public hearing was held at the Dalhart City Council meeting Tuesday night, September 13, concerning the proposed city tax rate. The proposed rate is $0.3573 per $100 of taxable property value. There were no comments from those present. The tax rate will be on the agenda for the council to adopt at the next meeting on Tuesday, September 27 at 6 p.m.

Robin Scott was recommended to fill the vacancy on the Board of Directors for the Dallam County Appraisal
District. Scott was also appointed to fill the vacancy on the Dalhart Economic Development Corporation. The vacancy was left by Chris Bell when he chose not to run for reelection on the Council.
