Dallam County’s 4-H club, Triple D, has begun requesting and accepting school supply donations to benefit Louisiana’s recent flood victims. The group, comprised of approximately 30 4-H students, chose to show their support to students and families in the Baton Rouge area and surrounding vicinity affected by the flooding in August. According to weather reports, a slow-moving storm dumped one to two feet of rain in a few days and claimed the lives of 13 and left thousands without homes to return to. The timing was unfavorable for families and students, as plans for back-toschool shopping had just begun.
