Milk truck collides with train on 807

A collision involving a milk carrier semitruck and a westbound train occurred Monday at approximately 9:30 a.m. along Highway 807 north of Conlen. The cause of the collision is still under investigation. The semi caught fire and was extinguished by civilians prior to the arrival of emergency responders. The driver was able to escape the truck and was later transported by Stratford EMS. All train traffic was stopped temporarily. Five Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department

Five Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department units responded along with Dalhart EMS, Stratford EMS, Stratford Fire Department, Dallam County Sheriff’s Office, Sherman County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Public Safety trooper, Dumas game warden and TxDot.
