FPC to hold public meeting Monday, looks to expand with a new facility

Frank Phillips College (FPC) Dalhart Center hopes to expand and improve local educational services with the
building of a new campus facility, and has scheduled a public forum to discuss the proposal of a new tax on the November ballot.

During the informational meeting, the public and governing bodies within the community will be informed
about the new facility and the details of the proposed tax.

An announcement will also be made regarding an anonymous donor whose gift will go toward the construction of a new facility.

The gift, however, is contingent upon the passage of a junior college district branch campus maintenance tax. The tax, as set by law, will not exceed five cents per $100 valuation of taxable property.
