On July 14th, friends gave birth to Jordan Brook Fox in Ft. Worth, TX. The birth was especially exciting to her parents after they recently experienced a stillbirth and several miscarriages. But frail little Jordan was not without problems. In the first five days of her life, she had six surgeries all involving issues with her tiny heart. The Fox family remained strong and hopeful as little Jordan began to respond. But on Friday, August 21st tiny Jordan’s struggle ended when the decision was made to remove her from life support. Kim and Joel held her in their arms and said their goodbyes.
In about the third week of this ordeal, Kim shared a verse that had been shared with her some years ago; Psalm 46:10: “Be still and know that I am God…” Her friend, not knowing how much Kim would need to rely on this verse, sent it this way:
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know that I
Be still and know that
Be still and know
Be still and
Kim and Joel met many families at Cook’s Children’s Hospital in Ft. Worth during their short time there. Their positive testimony is having far reaching results. One family, whose child has been in the hospital for a year, requested to go to church with the Foxes! Spunky little Jordan with her sparkling blue eyes quickly captured the hearts of all her caregivers and changed their lives forever.
Five short weeks
Love that reached around the world
A prayer vigil stretching over 900 hours
Be still and know that HE is God!
