The Dalhart Independent School District Board of Education and Dalhart City Council elections will be held tomorrow, Saturday, May 7.

Elections will be at Dalhart City Hall for both elections, as in the past, so voters only have to go to one location to vote.

Voting hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dalhart City Hall is located at 205 Rock Island.

A voter must show their registration card or their driver’s license to be eligible to vote.

Running for School Board are two incumbents, Doug Claborn and Justin Moore. Three candidates are also running for a position on the board, Lysl Vermedahl, Joni Atha and Colette Moorhouse.

In the city election, there is only one race, and that is in Ward Four. Running for that position is Tim Yee and Sherri Haschke.

There are no contested races in Ward 1, 2 or 3. Not seeking reelection this year is Chris Bell, Ward 4, and Zelda Lang, Ward 3.
