Local pastors work to keep mission open

Two Dalhart pastors are heading upa group to decide what to do with theDalhart Rescue Mission. The missionannounced earlier this month that it willclose its doors after 50 years of servicein the area.

Central United Methodist ChurchPastor Steve Patterson and HillsideChristian Church Dalhart Campus PastorRobert Ledbetter are stepping up to seehow and if they can restore the RescueMission. Patterson said in an interviewMonday that they are evaluating thebuilding and going to put together aplan.
