Twenty-four Hartley County 4-H members attended County Camp

Posted by: tdt -

Twenty-four Hartley County 4-H members attended County Camp at the Texas 4-H Center in Brownwood, on July 13-16. Camp experiences included canoeing, archery, riflery, and swimming. In addition, campers were introduced to outdoor environmental education and instructed in the process of setting up a campsite. The challenge course this year featured a 40 foot climb up a cargo net and descent via a zip-line. The most important part of the camp experience was of course the nightly dances. Hartley County 4-H will be holding their achievement banquet and annual enrollment event on August 28th at the Rita Blanca Coliseum. 4-H is open to all youth ages 9 to 18, and if you live in Hartley County, we would love to have you join us. For more information on what Hartley County 4-H has to offer, visit our website at or call the Dallam/Hartley County Extension Office at 244-4434.
