Smalley bonded out Monday

Shonnie Smalley, the white female, 21-years of age of Dalhart who was arrested in the wee hours Sunday morning July 13 for alleged injury to a child, a first-degree felony bonded out Monday afternoon.
According to a statement from the Dalhart Police Chief Gary Sinclair the charges stem from a call police received at 9:05 p.m. Saturday July 12, of a newborn baby boy, estimated to be 35 weeks old and born within 24 hours of the incident, found alive in a city dumpster between the 1800 block of Oak and the 1700 block of Chestnut by a man who lives in the neighborhood.
