DPS Trooper seizes 30 pounds of marijuana
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) conducted a traffic stop Wednesday on IH-40, yielding 30 pounds of marijuana valued at over $130,000.
At approximately 7:34 a.m., a DPS trooper conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Ford Fusion traveling eastbound on IH-40, for a traffic violation, near Conway in Carson County.
The driver of the Fusion was identified as Richard L Chaplin, 58, of Joplin, Mo. During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered 30 bundles of marijuana in the trunk.
