TDCJ Dalhart Unit Graduation Ceremonies for Spring Class

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Dalhart Unit conducted graduation ceremonies for its Spring 2014 Correctional Officer Cadet Pre-Service class June 6 at the Frank Phillips College Dalhart campus. Cadets completed 216 hours of training required by the State of Texas as the first phase of Correctional Officer training with TDCJ.
Graduation Correctional Officers were: Bahreldin Adam, Sam Benton IV, Grecia Camarillo, Adolfo Carranza, Angela Dooley, Sunni Long, April Rice, Sandra Ritter, Erica Rivera, Matthew Smart, Richard Smith, and Steven Thompson. TDCJ Dalhart Unit awarded two individual awards. Sunni Long was awarded the Dr. George J. Beto Award for Academic Achievement in Pre-Service Training for achieving the highest class average (99.2). Richard Smith was also awarded the Director’s Espirit de Corps Award for exhibiting traits of leadership, motivation, and commitment to the success of his fellow Cadets.
