City settles rate talks with Atmos
Dalhart still involved in two other rate cases with utility providers

Dalhart City Administrator James Stroud is happy one of the two rate cases it is involved in with Atmos Energy is settled, and it will save customers in the group, of which Dalhart is a part, about $5 million dollars annually.
The City administrator said he is still helping the group of cities fight two other cases, one with Atmos and one with Xcel Energy. The cases he and officials with the City of Amarillo and the City of Lubbock are fighting the two utility companies over are in hopes to keep user rates under control.
